| Description From Source | Summary Includes accounts book, members’ register and minutes books. Physical Description 1.9 m. Biography The Hellenic Community of Western Australia was formed in 1923 with the aim to build a Greek Orthodox Church in Perth. In 1925 they built a hall, used as both a religious and social venue by the Greek community. Following fundraising amongst the Greek community, a church was designed and built in the 1930s. The Greek Orthodox Church of Saints Constantine and Helene was consecrated in 1937, and proclaimed as a Cathedral in 1972. |
