Transcripts of records in the Ministere de la Marine dealing with French exploration in Australia, including journals kept on board “Le Geographe” and “Le Naturaliste”, including that of Captain Hamelin (1800-1804) and Francoisde de St. Allouarn (1772). Papers concerning Baudin’s expedition including report by Milius after Baudin’s death. Translation of Vlamingh’s log and other papers (1696-1699). Report on the West Coast of New Holland. Papers relating to the voyages of Kerguelen and St. Allouarn (1771-1774). Various papers including reports, descriptions, letters etc. concerning navigation, botany, mineralogy, geology, zoology, natural history, Dirk Hartog etc. by sixteen people (names in index). Papers of Lieutenant General Charles de Caen, chiefly concerning Matthew Flinders and the ship “Cumberland”; also letters from Governor King and Sir E. Pellew. Journal of Matthew Flinders. Other miscellaneous papers relating to Baudin and Freycinet.
