Description From Source1 illustrated diary. Digital copy available, translated and edited by Colin Dyer. Diary and scrapbook 18 August 1897 – 28 December 1898, kept by Henri Gilbert during the Australian leg of his journey around the world. Accounts in French by Mr Gilbert are interspersed with entries made in English, by publicans and others in the towns through which he passed. Press cuttings and photographs are pasted in. The Queensland section is only a small one and covers about a dozen localities in the south east.
