Description From Source0.5 cm, Manuscript handwritten, Typed transcript available in English. Letters (in German) written by Carl Linger: one to Dr Lowinsohn just prior to his departure from Germany, 23 March 1849; another to his mother in Germany, 20 March 1852, referring to his voyage from Hamburg to Port Adelaide in 1849 in the ‘Princess Louise’, his activities in South Australia as a farmer and subsequently as a musician; together with a proposal for his mother’s migration to South Australia. With a P.P.S. written by Linger’s wife Minna (Wilhelmine).
