| Description From Source | 1 volume of textual material, includes some English translations and two photoprints of the sketches. Ludwig Becker, a German migrant and artist, arrived in Tasmania on the ship Hannah in March 1851. He later moved to Victoria and became a member of the Victorian Exploring Expedition, also known as the Burke and Wills Expedition, in 1860-61. Becker’s letters contain his natural history observations, mainly in Tasmania. |
