Description From Source1 cm. These two documents were found in a copy of Hans Bertram’s “Flug in die Holle (Flight into Hell) c. 1933, purchased by the Battye Library, Library and Information Service of Western Australia, in 1996. In German, letter translated into English. 1. Letter to Miss M. Meyer, dated 30 Sept. 1931 (in German with translation) from A.- in Zurich, thanks Miss Meyer for the loan of a book (unidentified, possibly a manuscript of a book) and discusses its content. The discussion considers the society which produces such characters, as well as the Australian bush setting of much of the story. 2. The first page of the newspaper “Neue Zurcher Zeitung”, 16 April 1942, has its lead article on “The problems of Australia” which contains extracts from “Der unvollendete Kontinent” (1931) by Colin Ross (1885-1947) and “Tagebuchblatter aus Sibirien, Japan, Hinter-Indien, Australien, China, Korea (1906) by Max Huber (1874-1960)
