Papers collected by Maldwyn Rees include Welsh family histories, reminiscences of early Welsh settlers, records of the Welsh Presbyterian Church and the Cymbrodian Society of Sydney, notes on Welsh churches in Australia, programs of Welsh cultural events, papers on the 1939 Welsh Craft Exhibition in Sydney, music, scripts of plays, and copies of Welsh language newspapers and other publications. Includes correspondence, financial papers and other papers of Maldwyn Rees and his wife Blodwen Rees, relating to the publication of the Welsh Australian and to activities of Welsh organisations in Australia. Most of the letters date from 1935-1942. Correspondents include John Griffiths, E.R. Thomas and C. John. There are several issues of the Welsh Australian (1935-1942).
