Open letter from the founder of the Kalymnian Brotherhood, Mr. Alexiou, year of establishment of its presidency until 5-12-1959, above.
Honorable Mr. President,
Administrative Council
Dear compatriots,
Having learned from the radio program of the Greek Orthodox Community about your announcement and your donation to the Greek School of $3,000, I express my warm congratulations for this generous gesture.
Knowing that a committee, both from the brotherhood and from the community, is visiting Bishop Seraphim regarding the operation of the monastery of Agios Panteleimon, I would like to propose that we support the solution proposed by the Archbishopric. We have the obligation to accept this decision and to convene a General Assembly for the approval of this decision and the incorporation of a new article into our statute that will define the duration of the School’s operation. Additionally, we must emphasize that no decision of our brotherhood has been revoked since its approval. Please take these observations into account during our discussions.

Επιτίμου κ. προέδρε, Διοικητικό Συμβούλιο Αγαπητοί συμπατριώτες, Λαμβάνοντας γνώση από το ραδιοφωνικό πρόγραμμα της Ελληνικής Ορθοδόξου Κοινότητας για την ανακοίνωση σας και τη δωρεά σας προς το ελληνικό Σχολείο $3.000, εκφράζω τα θερμά μου συγχαρητήρια για αυτήν τη γενναιόδωρη κίνηση. Γνωρίζοντας ότι μία επιτροπή τόσο από την αδελφότητα όσο και από την κοινότητα επισκέπτεται τον επίσκοπο Σεραφείμ για το θέμα της λειτουργίας του μοναστηριού Αγίου Παντελεήμονος, θα ήθελα να προτείνω να υποστηρίξουμε τη λύση που προτείνει η Αρχιεπισκοπή. Έχουμε την υποχρέωση να δεχθούμε αυτήν την απόφαση και να καλέσουμε Γενική Συνέλευση για την έγκριση αυτής της απόφασης και την ενσωμάτωση ενός νέου άρθρου στο καταστατικό μας που θα ορίζει τη διάρκεια της λειτουργίας του Σχολείου. Επιπλέον, πρέπει να τονίσουμε ότι καμία απόφαση της αδελφότητάς μας δεν έχει ακυρωθεί από τότε που εγκρίθηκε. Παρακαλώ να ληφθούν υπόψη αυτές οι παρατηρήσεις κατά τις συζητήσεις μας.
